The grand tourer that replaced the XJS and reestablished Jaguar's presence in the GT market. The XK8's AJ-V8 engine was the first V8 Jaguar had designed in-house.

History

Geoff Lawson's XK8 was Jaguar's return to beautiful grand tourers after the aging XJS. The supercharged XKR variant with 375 hp offered genuine performance. It was the last Jaguar GT designed under British ownership before Ford's influence reshaped the brand.
