A naturally aspirated engine breathes without forced induction, drawing air solely through atmospheric pressure. This simplicity produces linear throttle response, a direct connection between pedal position and power delivery, and an exhaust note unfiltered by turbocharger muffling. The naturally aspirated engine is becoming extinct in performance cars, making every surviving example more significant.
