The modern Gullwing. AMG's first ground-up car — hand-built V8, aluminum spaceframe, gullwing doors. A spiritual successor to the 300 SL.

History

The SLS was the first car designed entirely by AMG. Its hand-built M159 V8 was the most powerful naturally aspirated engine Mercedes had ever made. The gullwing doors directly referenced the legendary 300 SL, but everything else was thoroughly modern.
