What makes it iconic
The retractable hardtop Z4. The E89 traded the E85's raw edge for year-round usability, with a folding metal roof that transformed roadster to coupe in 20 seconds.
History
Co-developed with Toyota (who used the platform for the Supra revival), the E89 Z4 offered turbocharged four and six-cylinder engines. The sDrive35is with its twin-turbo N54 was brutally quick in a straight line.
