Record breaker
The fastest road car of the 1960s. Named Daytona by the press after Ferrari's 1-2-3 finish at the 1967 24 Hours of Daytona.
History
When the Miura stole the mid-engine spotlight, Ferrari responded with the front-engine Daytona that was simply faster. Its 174mph top speed made it the fastest production car in the world. The nickname 'Daytona' was never official but stuck forever after the 1967 race triumph.
