Engineering first
The second TT — sharper, faster, more serious. The 8J shed the original's softness for genuine sports car dynamics and magnetic ride damping.
History
The 8J TT RS, with its 340-hp turbocharged five-cylinder, was the most powerful TT ever. Its engine note — that distinctive Audi five-pot warble — connected it directly to the Quattro rally cars of the 1980s.
