Motorsport legend
The third-generation X5 that perfected the Sports Activity Vehicle formula. The F15 was lighter than the E70 despite being larger, thanks to extensive aluminum construction.
History
BMW's use of aluminum doors, hood, fenders, and roof saved 90 kg over the outgoing model. The X5 M's S63 twin-turbo V8 produced 575 hp, making it faster than most sports sedans.
